Bass Harbor Light, New Bass Harbor, ME
The fixed red light of Bass Harbor Head Light, in Acadia National Park, Maine, went into service on September 1, 1858. It served to warn mariners of the Bass Harbor Bar at the eastern entrance to Bass Harbor, and also to mark the southeast entrance to Blue Hill Bay.
