Alki Point Lighthouse, Seattle, WA

Alki Point Lighthouse in Seattle, Washington is one of thirteen lighthouses along Puget Sound and marks the Southern entrance to Elliot’s bay. It was privately run by the landowners until 1887 when the Lighthouse Service recognized a need for a light at that location. They hired and paid the landowners to keep the light lit. They eventually bought a parcel of land and built the building and lighthouse in 1913.
